Juan Felipe Pinto Castelblanco is an Environmental Engineer and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), along with professional expertise in tourist guidance, internal auditing (HSEQ), and project management. With over 14 years of experience, he excels in end-to-end project design, incorporating agile methodologies, and specializes in community and environmental initiatives.
Juan Felipe is a Fellow in the Comprehensive Leadership Program (PIL) with the Origen Foundation and a SocialMBA Scholar. He has been actively involved in social work and community environmental project management with the NGO TECHO Colombia. Additionally, he is a member of the SIE WAKA startup, Delegate Colombia of the Youth Congress for Sustainable Americas (YCSA) since 2019, and Founder and Steering Committee member of the Network of Youth for the Sustainable Development Goals (RedJODS).
His professional journey spans across universities, NGOs, and the private sector. Juan Felipe has conducted research on biogas production using anaerobic digesters, formulated air quality policies for application in the Colombian context, identified environmental impacts around two of Colombia's largest mining companies using satellite images, and explored alternative systems for organic waste utilization, such as the Paca Digestora Silva (PDS).
In 2014, he played a pivotal role in constructing ethnic public policies for local communities (afro-descendants, indigenous, and Romani people) in Palmira town. Juan Felipe brings a wealth of diverse experiences, showcasing his dedication to sustainable development and community welfare.
