Mariana Esteves is the Director of International Programs at the Biennial of the Americas and the current Honorary Consul of Brazil for Colorado. She has over 15 years of experience in the industry, with a background in international relations, cultural management, and event planning.
In her current role, Mariana excels in high-profile diplomacy, stakeholder engagement, and curatorial practices. She has designed and led international delegation trips, organized major conferences featuring prominent speakers, and managed networks of international leaders. Her expertise includes creating and managing large-scale events that foster city-to-city collaboration, cultural dialogue, and innovative partnerships.
Born and raised in Brazil, Mariana previously worked with Artmanagers and Drummond & Neumayr Advocacia, one of Brazil's most renowned references in art consultancy. She has helped nonprofits such as Instituto Usicultura, Palácio das Artes, Fundação Dom Cabral, Inhotim, Grupo Corpo, Banco do Brasil, and various municipalities to plan and execute arts and culture programs.
Mariana supports individuals and institutions in rethinking and structuring their creative assets, designing and implementing projects that respect public policy guidelines, community desirability, and private sector funding interests.
In her free time, she and her husband enjoy cooking and hosting gatherings, and they can always be found exploring the outdoors with their kids.
