Lauren Simpson is the Mayor of Arvada, CO. Prior to her election, she served as an Arvada City Councilmember for four years. Deeply involved in the community, Mayor Lauren is an active member of several service clubs and local boards, including the Arvada Visitors Center, Mile High Flood District, and Denver Metro Mayors Caucus.

Outside of her mayoral duties, she serves as the Chief Marketing Officer for Improve Technologies, an Arvada, CO and Geneva, IL based IT company. ImpTech provides full-service business IT solutions for clients large and small, from equipment management to advanced security and encryption services.

Mayor Lauren holds a master's degree in international relations and brings nearly 20 years of experience in government relations, public affairs and communications spanning the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
