Paul has been a Certified Recreation Therapist at National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado for over 35 years, where he evaluates, treats and educates pediatric and adult patients who face respiratory and other illnesses. Paul serves as a senior advisor to the Morgridge Family Foundation and together with his husband, John Farnam, is active in the community through volunteering and philanthropic endeavors. Their community work is mainly focused in the areas of children’s welfare and education, poverty and homelessness, hunger relief, and the arts. Paul and John work with Metro Caring Hunger Relief Center, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Urban Peak, Firefly Autism and their church, Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church.They have received the Firefly Luminescence Award as well as the Georgia Imhoff Philanthropic Award. Paul and John live in Denver where they enjoy their dog Angel, gardening, travel, theater, and many outdoor activities. Paul was greatly influenced by his grandfather, a champion for the environment, who taught him to always “leave the trail a little better than you found it.”
