Sam Knaizer

Head of Corporate Affairs | bpx energy

Sam is Head of Corporate Affairs for bpx energy, where he manages and supports multiple interdisciplinary efforts to deliver progressively lower carbon intensive solutions for bp's US onshore upstream business and supports other bp projects that provide cleaner, more affordable, and reliable energy to the world. He was recently selected as a 2022 Colorado Governor's Fellow, and previously served on Denver's Climate Task Force and Energize Denver Task Force.

Prior to joining bp Sam worked at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, where he advised clients on a variety of natural resource issues. Sam began his career with American Energy Assets, where he was responsible for managing environmental policy and assisting with business development for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.

Sam graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
