Bill Peffer

Practice Group Leader | Sherman & Howard’s Business and Real Estate group

William (Bill) Peffer is the Practice Group Leader of Sherman & Howard’s Business and Real Estate group, leading S&H’s largest practice group of talented transactional attorneys across eight offices. Bill’s personal practice focuses on the areas of mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending, and real estate transactions in the middle market.

With over fifteen years of experience doing deals, Bill has represented over 300 buyers, sellers, borrowers, and lenders in all types of transaction, and brings a pragmatic and closing-oriented approach to each deal. In addition to serving as transaction counsel, he also serves as outside general counsel for a variety of privately held businesses.

Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Bill lives in South Denver with his wife Mary Beth who he met while attending college in Boulder, and their two daughters Allison (5) and Isabel (3). In his increasingly diminishing free time, Bill enjoys playing volleyball, mountain biking, skiing, cooking, and cheering on his Hawkeyes and Buffaloes. Bill is honored to currently serve on the Board of Directors of both MENTOR Colorado and the Biennial of the Americas.
