Alicia Economos
Director of Development | Urban Peak
Alicia Economos is the Director of Development at Urban Peak, overseeing a team of seven. Previously, she spent more than a decade working to improve public education by serving in a variety of leadership roles with a focus on fundraising and strategic communications for policy, political and public school organizations including KIPP, Democrats for Education Reform and the Children's Literacy Initiative. Prior, Alicia worked in the corporate sector for Univision, 9News/Gannett and Scripps/Rocky Mountain News developing new business and creating community partnerships. She is the former Board Chair of KIPP Colorado and member of the Mayoral-appointed Denver Preschool Board of Directors, served on the La Napoule Arts Foundation Advisory Board, The Odyssey School Board and currently serves on the DFER Colorado Advisory Board. She is a DPS graduate and received her AB from Smith College. Alicia has three daughters, ages 13, 16 and 18 who attend DPS schools and the University of Colorado at Boulder.
