Dan Lynch
Vice President, Government Affairs | United Airlines
Dan Lynch is vice president of state and local government affairs at United Airlines. In this role, Dan is responsible for all state and local government affairs, with the goal of creating constructive and effective relationships with all levels of elected and appointed government and opinion leaders.
Prior to this position, Dan was managing director of corporate and government affairs where he oversaw government relations in Chicago, Denver and Dulles, Virginia. Dan joined United in 2006, and has since held a variety of positions in the airline’s government affairs department.
Before joining United, Dan worked at The Commercial Club of Chicago, a prominent civic and economic development organization representing corporate interests in the city. He also spent several years in Washington D.C., working for the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), and as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Herb Kohl.
Dan is involved in a number of civic and charitable organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of Christopher House, a nonprofit social service and education organization helping low-income children and families. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Civic Federation and the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
Dan has Bachelor’s Degrees in History and Political Science from Marquette University and a Master’s Degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas–Austin.
