Danielle Oliveto, Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Jared Polis, was born and raised in Colorado. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder she began working as a field organizer on Governor Polis’ first campaign for Congress. After his victory, she then joined him in his Washington, DC office. After various roles in the Congressional office— staff assistant, executive assistant, scheduler, and deputy communications director—Danielle returned to Colorado to run Polis’ 2014 campaign. In 2015, Danielle moved to San Francisco and was the Director of Operations for Leadership for a Clean Economy, a nonprofit working to elect clean tech climate champions to the California State Legislature. During that time she also supported BART Board Director Nick Josefowitz’s work in transportation and housing policy. In 2019 Danielle returned to Colorado to support Governor Polis as his Deputy Chief of Staff, running all internal operations for the office. Danielle serves on the Capitol Building Advisory Committee and the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund Board. She also volunteers for IGNITE National, a nonprofit dedicated to encouraging young women to run for office.
