Cande & Paulo / Argentina

"Cande y Paulo" is an Argentine duo formed by Cande Buasso (bass, vocals) and Paulo Carrizo (piano, keyboards), who met in their hometown of San Juan, Argentina. Their version of Luis Alberto Spinetta's "Barro Tal Vez" catapulted them to fame in 2017, garnering millions of views on YouTube. With influences from many genres, particularly jazz, the duo's music is characterized by an intimately minimalist style. Their debut album, produced by Larry Klein (Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Herbie Hancock), is an exquisite collection of American, British and Argentine folk songs featuring Carrizo's intense arrangements and Buasso's incredible vocal maturity. They have also been featured on NPR Music's 'Tiny Desk' series, demonstrating their musical ability and passion for music.
