Addie Kae

Addie was born in 1997 in Denver, Colorado and received a BFA in Studio Art, with an emphasis in drawing and painting, as well as a four years of training in Film, Photography, and Motion Design at Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction Colorado. Her work expresses the difficulties of finding her voice and acceptance of herself representing her racial background of half African American, and half Caucasian. After graduating College she moved back to Denver to reside in her father's childhood home in five points, where many of the photographs her paintings are based off, were taken. This allows documentation of her modern interracial marriage, with nods of historical reference to masters, along with her own families old photographs.
