Pablo Allard

Pablo Allard (1969) is an Architect and holds a Master's in Architecture from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in 1997, a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from 1999, and a Doctor of Design Studies from the University of Harvard in 2003.
Since 2011, he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Art at the University of Desarrollo. He has also served as a professor at various institutions, including Harvard University, the University of Arizona, the Tecnológico de Monterrey, and the Pontifical Catholic Universities of Chile and Ecuador, among others.
In 1999, he, along with Alejandro Aravena and Andrés Iacobelli, co-founded the do-tank ELEMENTAL. In 2005, he became the Creator and Director of the City Observatory at the Catholic University (OCUC).
Between 2010 and 2011, he worked as the National Coordinator for Urban Reconstruction at the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism (MINVU). During this time, he led Master Plans for Resilient Reconstruction in over 150 cities and towns affected by the tsunami and earthquake of February 27th.
Currently, he is the Managing Partner of Allard & Partners, a firm specializing in territorial intelligence, urban design, architecture, and landscape architecture. He is also involved with Nueva Vía consultores, where he works on private infrastructure concession initiatives such as the Santiago and Iquique cable cars and the Southern Orbital route.
Furthermore, he serves as the Director of Cerámicas Santiago, the Junto al Barrio Foundation, and the Reforestemos Foundation. He is a columnist for the newspaper La Tercera, 13c Radio, and radio Pauta.
