Erika Harrsch

Erika Harrsch is a New York-based artist born and raised in Mexico City. Trained as a painter, she uses tools such as photography, animation, multimedia, and performance to address cultural, political, and environmental issues, as well as themes of identity. Her work has been featured around the world, including at the FEMSA Monterrey Biennial in Mexico (2003, 2005) and B3: Biennial of the Moving Image in Frankfurt, Germany (2017). Harrsch has exhibited or performed at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, El Museo del Barrio in New York City, and the Musée de la Photographie in Charleroi, Belgium, among others.
