Richard Hilton Szkiler
Capturing Wildlife and Nature is British Filmmaker Richard Szkiler's biggest passion. This is why he moved to South America at the young age of 21, where he had the early opportunity to film in the Amazon, Pantanal and Patagonia. Over the last decade he has dedicated almost exclusively to film in South America mastering his craft and building up a reliable network in the region. His company 'THE VIEW SOUTH which is run with his wife Manuela is now based in the UK, their latest film is 'PUMAS IN PATAGONIA'.
Richard’s experience with natural history comes from a commercial filmmaking background, with notable projects including Visit Malaysia 2014 Campaign, Visit South Iceland 2017 and several Relais & Chateaux films, he has filmed in more than 40 countries worldwide. Richard has deep understanding of the natural world and how it coincides with various cultures from distinct parts of the globe. His filmmaking talents with wildlife, drones and the art of time-lapse has been commended by international renowned filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg. Richard is currently working on a new project which is a story around the conservation teams in Argentina focusing on the jaguars and pumas.
