Shawn Gullixson

Shawn Gullixson has over 20 years of leadership experience in financial and public policy work in the Pikes Peak Region. Previously, he served as President of Vectra Bank’s fastest growing market for several years where he created a model for business development and partnership across the region.
A Colorado Springs resident for over 30 years, Shawn has also been active in community development work across the State. He is the current President of the Solid Rock Community Development Corporation board, and a County Commissioner appointed member of the El Paso County Development Block Grant program. He served as a City Council appointed member of the Downtown Review Board, on the Mayor’s SouthEast Strong community development committee, as an ex-officio member of the Chamber and EDC board, and recently was appointed co-chair of the newly elected Mayor’ Economic Vitality Solutions Team.
Shawn was also elected to and served as the President and Vice President of the Colorado Springs District 11 Board of Education, the community’s largest and most diverse school district. He is a recipient of the Gary Bostrom Community Inspiration Award and was the President and Executive Director for the Colorado Springs Rising Professionals. Shawn was a Colorado Governors Fellow and is a recent graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government’s Senior Executives in State and Local Government program where he was a recipient of the Gates Family Foundation Fellowship.
