Tony Frank

Dr. Tony Frank is the Chancellor of the Colorado State University System, home to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CSU-Pueblo, and CSU-Global, along with the emerging CSU Spur campus at the National Western Center in Denver. Dr. Frank previously served for 11 years as the 14th president of Colorado State University, he was named Chancellor of the Colorado State University System in 2015, and became full-time System Chancellor in 2019.
Dr. Frank earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Wartburg College, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. at Purdue.
Dr. Frank serves on a number of state and national boards including the Western Stock Show Association Board of Directors; the Boettcher Foundation Board of Directors; the Denver Metro Chamber Board of Directors; the National Western Center Authority Board; the Advisory Board for the Salazar Center for North American Conservation; and the Colorado Healing Fund Board of Directors. He has served on several federal panels and editorial boards. Dr. Frank has been inducted into both the Illinois and Colorado 4-H Halls of Fame, he was selected as the National Western Stock Show’s 2018 Citizen of the West, and he was awarded the Carl J. Norden Distinguished Teaching Award at both Colorado State and Oregon State University.
