Nancy Walsh
Executive VP of Marketing, Experiences, and Partnerships | Denver Museum of Nature & Science
Nancy Walsh is the executive vice president of marketing, experiences, and partnerships at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. She works with a talented team and our community to create and communicate a diverse array of innovative and engaging exhibitions and programs for all ages—onsite, offsite, and virtually.
Walsh currently is the vice president champion for the Museum’s Initiative to reimagine and expand the Gems & Minerals exhibition at the Museum and is deeply engaged in the Museum's strategic planning. She was the founding champion for the Museum’s No Walls Initiative, which has successfully increased both the number and the diversity of people who connect with the Museum around nature and science in ways that are meaningful to them and in places that matter to them. She was a driving force behind the successful opening and reprogramming of the Museum’s most recent major expansion, the Morgridge Family Exploration Center. Prior to the Museum, she worked at the Virginia Aquarium, the Bell Museum of Natural History and The Field Museum.
Walsh currently serves on the board of the Denver Public Schools Foundation and is Board Chair at the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts. She also served on the boards of the Art Students League of Denver and CherryArts and was a mayoral appointee on the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs. Walsh holds a master’s degree in evolutionary biology from the University of Chicago and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Earlham College.
