La Casa del Cacao is an artisan chocolate shop that offers all people, children and adults, a wide variety of chocolates, drinks, bars, chocolates and also quality cosmetics all made with cacao grown and selected in Costa Rica. We want to offer people the possibility to taste a natural chocolate, free of preservatives and artificial flavors, a chocolate that preserves all the properties and authenticity of the raw material... cocoa.Because what we want to offer is not only chocolate, but also the value and memory of a food that for a long time was more than a simple sweet candy. It is no coincidence that the second name of cocoa is "Theobroma", which means "food of the gods" and is on the list of healthiest superfoods. The natives of Central America regarded it as sacred and took it as medicine.Today, in this society of consumerism, at La Casa del Cacao, it seems very important to us to highlight the benefits and identity of this food. Because authenticity is not only behind the name of a great brand, but above all behind the work of Costa Rican families and farmers. With them we want to preserve the environment by promoting sustainable agriculture so that we can all enjoy quality chocolate and feel even happier!
In this activity, we want to show you through a demonstration and through a small workshop, how seeds are turned into delicious chocolate. We will have information and tools available to teach you the most important stages of the chocolate making process. And so that you don't have to be left with water in your mouth, we will offer you several samples of our delicious products!
