Edgar Mora-Altamirano mentors the Coastal Solutions Program at the Cornell Ornithology Lab. He earned his Master of Public Administration from Harvard University and is an Urban Planner and Journalist. He was Mayor of Curridabat on three occasions and Minister of Public Education in Costa Rica. During his administration, the Municipality of Curridabat changed the planning paradigms for city development. It led to the consolidation of an innovative regenerative plan called Sweet City, which earned him several international awards and recognition. He is a co-founder of Champion Mayors of the OECD Inclusive Growth Initiative and an Ambassador for The World Bee Project.
