Andy Thomas
Deputy Director | Levitt Pavilion Denver
Andy Thomas is Levitt Pavilion's Deputy Director. A graduate of Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Thomas has been playing music professionally since 2003, and has performed in eleven different countries and all over the United States including a Levitt AMP series performance in Anchorage, Alaska in 2016.
Professionally, Thomas has made it a personal mission to help his fellow musicians in a number of ways, including helping to start Illegal Pete’s “Starving Artists Program”, coordinating two years of The Denver Music Summit, and facilitating WESTAF’s IMTour program, which gives grant subsidies to independent touring musicians.
Since joining Levitt Pavilion in 2016, Thomas has worked diligently with the Ruby Hill community to ensure the pavilion is a safe and inclusive space for all. In 2017 he launched Levitt's BandStart program which identified students from elementary schools in the Ruby Hill/Godsman neighborhood and, not only offered them free lessons, but, through a partnership with Guitar Center, gave these students free music instruments as well. This program also allows Denver musicians to perform during lunch at participating schools. The program which just received another round of funding from Denver Arts & Venues, is still flourishing and growing in SouthWest Denver schools.
Outside of his day to day tasks, Andy serves as Co-Capitan for the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) in Colorado. Thomas is also Levitt Pavilon's Master of Ceremonies and can be seen cracking jokes and introducing all of the bands for Levitt's Free concert series.
