Marissa Volpe is the Chief of Equity and Engagement at History Colorado where she leads and accompanies a statewide community of Colorado stakeholders toward the full participation in preserving and celebrating the history of Colorado. Her work also aims to educate and engage the staff of History Colorado in the application of diversity, equity and inclusion through best practices in communication, decision-making and daily practices to promote a culture of belonging. Her academic background includes a dual B.A. in Latin American Studies and Spanish and graduate degrees in Intercultural Communication Studies and a doctorate in Spirituality and Story, focusing on the important role of storytelling in our lives.
