Ally Grimm
Multimedia Artist - A.L. Grime | Director - Denver Walls
Ally Grimm aka A.L. Grime is a Venezuelan-American multimedia artist living in Denver, CO. After pursuing a degree in Strategic Communication and Social Media Marketing, she became fascinated by the ways in which data drives human behavior and interaction. In 2016, she decided to leave school to teach herself to create art to tell the story of the shifting paradigms of this new era. Since then she has taught herself to tell her narratives through paintings, murals, digital art, Augmented Reality, AI, NFTs, animation, and more.
Grimm explores the rise of the technological era through the lens of the human experience by juxtaposing abstract portraiture with patterns that simulate both data systems and organic processes. She believes art can be a force to bridge the gap between technology and spirituality through an aggressive return to emotion. She seeks to innovate how we experience art, continuously seeking the latest tech such as AR, NFTs, and the Metaverse.
Since she began her journey into art, A.L. Grime has painted murals across the US, and painted the first AR and first NFT murals in Denver, CO. She teaches others about tech tools such as AR through public classes and one on one courses. Grimm was named Denver’s “Most Influential Muralist” in 2022 by Westword Magazine and has since started a mural festival called “Denver Walls” centered around reframing the traditional understanding of “street art” by integrating technology. She aims to create experiences that help ease the public into a conversation about how we can use technology to bring people closer together and build community in all that she creates.
