Mr. Fernandez Rivera has more than 40 years of experience in the area of agricultural and forestry production, innovation and research in Mexico; North, Central and South America; Caribbean; Africa and Asia.
His professional work has focused on options for improving the productivity of crop-livestock and crop-range-livestock production systems in developing countries, through increases in feed production, improved animal nutrition and management and efficient use of soil nutrients.
During his professional practice, he has consistently contributed to national and international efforts aimed at reducing rural poverty, improving food security and the sustainable use of natural resources in developing countries, through scientific research, technological innovation, the strengthening of institutions and international cooperation.
