Jonathan Cerdas, co-founder of Green Communities, is a visionary leader in sustainable initiatives with more than twenty years of experience in the hospitality sector. His multifaceted role includes serving as Program Manager, Project Leader, and Coordinator within his organizations. Jonathan’s journey began with studies in Business Tourism at Cartago Community College in Costa Rica. His groundbreaking work in implementing clean technology within coffee plantations earned him a prestigious Collaboration Certificate from the UNA (National University). In 2012, he addressed the United Nations during the Rio+20 Conference, leaving an indelible mark on global sustainable development. Moreover, in 2022, under his leadership, Green Communities secured victory in the World Coffee Challenge, becoming the first in Costa Rica to win this competition with their exceptional organic coffee. Beyond Green Communities, Jonathan’s entrepreneurial spirit shines through ventures such as Tamí Lodge and Santos Tour, pioneering in different hospitality segments in Los Santos region. As a seasoned speaker, he has graced nine conferences across Canada, the United States, and Costa Rica, inspiring action and fostering a deeper understanding of responsible tourism.
